Hug Your Cat
This one is obvious, but it had to be said. Just scoop your kitty up onto your lap and snuggle away.
Volunteer at a Shelter
If you don't have a cat of your own, you may want to take this opportunity to volunteer at a local animal shelter (cats, dogs, bunnies...we won't tell anyone if you decide to hug a different species). These animals are always in need of more snuggles, so take an hour out of your day and make an animal happy.
Host a Cat Party
Gather your human friends and your cat friends, some catnip and string and just have fun hugging each other. You don't really need a special day to do this. We recommend doing this weekly!
Hug Your Cat Day
Who knew there was a special day marked for hugging your cat? Anyone who loves their cat, that's who! It all started back with the Ancient Egyptians who worshiped their cats. Cats were seen as symbols of grace and poise. We know you can't help but hug your cat every change you get, but on Hug Your Cat Day, we make a special effort to really snuggle them. And after you're done with the hugging, head over to our collection of Cat Themed Gifts and see if there's something that catches your eye.
